Each group (family) will receive a standard double or twin room. Rooms are fairly spacious and provide enough space to add an extra bedding or two. The hotel has a limited number of extra beds, but should they run out, you will need to organise the extra sleeping space yourself – you might consider bringing a mat or an inflatable mattress if travelling in a group of more than two people. The hotel will provide extra bedsheets and pillows as needed free of cost.

There will be a limited number of triple rooms; they will be allocated to families with two disabled members.

Those who wish to arrive a day earlier or leave a day later will need to book the room directly with the hotel. Please quote your participation in the Conference to receive a better deal.

All Conference participants will be offered the following meals: lunch and dinner on Friday 18 August, lunch on Saturday 19 August, as well as snacks and drinks during coffee breaks. Lunch on both days will be in the form of warm packets. Friday dinner will be of buffet type. Families staying overnight will also have buffet breakfast included on Saturday.

People with special dietary needs (gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.) are kindly requested to state this during registration. Those who use only industrial feeds will need to arrange them themselves.

Playtime will be organised for children up to 14 years – both those with SMA and those without – while their parents or carers attend lectures and workshops. Children over 14 years can also attend but we cannot guarantee that they would find the programme that interesting.

Play staff will be able to contact parents/carers if required.

Play staff are not qualified nor allowed to operate any medical device used by the child, including a cough assist, ventilator, suction machine, etc. Play staff cannot dispense medicines. If the child requires a person to operate their device or dispense medicines, they will need to remain together with their parent/carer.

Please mention any requirements related to children in the registration form.

The entire building is fully wheelchair adapted. Two lifts – one near the hotel lobby and another one at the back entrance – serve all the floors.

The conference halls will also be arranged with accessibility in mind.

En suite bathrooms are not accessible. Even though, they aire fairly spacious and should allow for easy manouevering even with an electric wheelchair. Each bathroom has a shower (no tubs).

There will be electric hoists available on the corridors, please feel free to use them as needed and return them to the corridor as soon as no longer needed.

The two wheelchair-accessible hotel rooms will be made available for all Guests to be used as accessible bathrooms or changing rooms during the conference. Please make sure you do NOT lock the door when leaving!

Getting there

The BOSS Conference Centre is located around 15 minutes' drive from the National Highway S8 (E30). It links with the A2 Motorway which in turn smoothly links with the rest of Poland and Europe.

Using public transport to get there is relatively straightforward. The local 521 bus will take you from the Warsaw Central Rail Station (main hall level) directly to the bus stop "PKP Miedzeszyn", a journey of approx. 40 minutes. Thereafter you will have to walk approximately 400 yards to the hotel – just follow the signposts. All public buses in Warsaw are wheelchair accessible.

The Miedzeszyn rail station is also connected, by Urban Rapid Transport (SKM) and suburban trains, with Warszawa Zachodnia, Warszawa Śródmieście and Warszawa Wschodnia rail stations and further with Warsaw Chopin and Warsaw Modlin airports. Unfortunately, the Miedzeszyn rail station is not wheelchair accessible.

Hotel car parks contain a combined 200+ parking places; parking there is free and does not require prebooking. Just follow the requests of hotel's security guards who will direct you to appropriate car parks.
